When we deny our identity as creative makers, we miss cultivating the medicine in the day to day, the balm our weary souls desperately need to mend and repair.
We miss the opportunity to slow down and live in child-like wonder.
Making in our creativity can remove our gaze from hurts and wounds to provide a healing space for ourselves to reflect the Creator.

I didn't always value beauty. I didn't always see the great need for reflecting mirrors of the Creator in my life. I used to believe utility, efficiency, and production were the benchmarks of cultivated living. Now I see and know and feel the intrinsic truth that beauty awakens faith.
